Coffee

I haven't been such a big fan of coffee, not that I don't like it much, it's just that whenever I hear the term ''Addiction'', there's like a kind of power pulling me back from it. However, I still drink it occasionally as I usually pick random drinks anytime I want one, and the ''coffee'' I'm talking about is not black coffee, or hot coffee, I meant ''Cafe au Lait''.

I haven't had many chances to drink it much while in Cambodia, cause I thought I was young and that coffee is for grown ups, especially we have to go to market for ''កាហ្វេទឹកដោះគោទឹកកក'' which is pretty tiring. But when I turned 18, an adult, I still do not tend to go for it much either, yet I seldom drink it. Coming to Japan, there's tons of Cafe au Lait in paper boxes everywhere and are easy to find. Yet, I still drink it occasionally.

As we know, many says that coffee contains caffeine that temporarily warding off drowsiness and restoring alertness, while some of the people I know said there's no effect on them at all. Actually, I haven't really noticed about it too cause I just drink it when I want to, not for any other purposes.

As a university student, staying late is inevitable. So the lack of sleeping becomes a problem which mainly causes sleepiness during classes especially in the morning. I've tried lots of method to prevent that from happening but none of them seems very helpful. So few days ago I thought ''Why don't give coffee a try? It's not that bad, right?'', and I began to drink it yesterday, in the morning. As expected, I could stay alert in the morning for two days now. It worked!!! Maybe that means I'm gonna need it every morning from now on? But 2 days doesn't count, I think. So I'm waiting to see the result for at least another week. If it really works, it's gonna be for good! :)

QOTP:
1. Do you drink coffee? How often? And why do you drink it?
2. Do you have problems with being sleepy in the morning class (or afternoon right after lunch)? if yes, what are your solutions?
Looking forward to know about your tips, cause it may help me. :)

I drink coffee sometimes and I can say I used to drink a few times for staying alert but I found that it didn't work ( still sleepy). Of course, I have problem with being sleepy during boring lecture and I have no any other solutions besides trying to sleep enough at night !

Firstly, Café au lait doesn't call coffee for the coffee drinkers.

You have satisfied for the 2 morning of coffee wake up, then u'll try for week or 10 days during your exam. After this period you will be come addicted and like/need it. You know what, even Om Hap and Om Ny now become to like coffee after one try after 6 decades of never touching coffee.

QOTP:
1. Yes I am coffee drinker (twice a day)except when I am pregnant (Non)and breastfed my baby (once of au lait). It's because I am addicted, it make me refresh and can concentrate on my work.
2. No because I am not a student but yes when i work and the solution is always coffee nis eng.
However, from the magazine they said that researcher found some amount of coffee help to reduce fat in your blood vessel and heart. Let's search. Last of all drinking it is kind of fun and relax when u seat with people charting instead of wine, beer and avoid it with smoke ban hoey.

@Rady: The other problem for me is that no matter how enough I sleep the night, I still feel sleepy in the morning :( that's why i need sth to keep me up alert.

@Poch: Yeah, addiction, that's what I'm worried about. But I have no other choice for now and the one I'm drinking is just Cafe au Lait, so I guess it's not that bad :D
And about smoking, you don't need to worry, it's still on the number 1 spot of the things I hate the most in the world, and it'll remain there forever.

1. No, I don't drink coffee. I used to drink it once when I was around 10 years old. Honestly, it tasted GOOD. But after I stood by for the whole night, I never dare to drink it again even nowadays.
2. Yes, I'm often sleepy during class both morning and afternoon. My solution is to get out of the class for a few minutes if possible. But if I can't get out of the class, I like to check my phone, clock!!!

1. Yes, I do. I'm a coffee lover. I used to drink once awhile when I was in Cambodia. After I found a Vietnamese coffee brand I really like here, I drink everyday. I've tried some super-strong Vietnamese coffee and fall in love with it as well. Every now and then, I would grab a frappuccino from Starbucks. However, it's been a few weeks that I go caffein-free, and I feel perfectly normal, so addition is not the problem for me. Sometimes, I need coffee to stay awake, but mostly I drink coffee cos i love its taste and aroma.

2. Yes. Solutions: try to get enough sleep, cold and refreshing shower, eat something before class (preferably fruits or juice), get a good shot of coffee if necessary.
